Built in 1903 by William Denny & Brothers at Dumbarton for the London Brighton & South Coast Railway the Brighton was the company's first turbine steamer.

Brighton during speed trails

A marvelous picture of Brighton at speed clearly evoking the power of her three Parsons steam turbines. This view was probably taken during her speed trails in the Firth of Forth.
